HOW VEGANABS GETS ABS
First things first - you can’t out train a bad diet. It doesn’t matter how many situps you do, you will never have abs if you eat like shit. If you’re an adult human who doesn’t understand what it means to not eat like shit, then google is your friend. I am not a nutritionist.
I run 4-6 miles first thing every morning, 4-5 times a week. I’ve stopped going on 8-12 mile runs becuase they weren’t doing much for my body. In fact, the long runs were compromising the quality of my weight lifting/CrossFit sessions.
After my run, I usually do one of two things: the Crossfit WOD or a workout similar to the Jamie Eason LiveFit program. I do this 3-4 times a week.
After that, I do abs.
Things I use - yoga mat, stability ball, abmat, 25 pound kettlebell and a tall mirror.
I lay out my yoga mat and do crunches (about 65-70 per minute) on my stability ball until my core starts to burn; sometimes that happens after 50 situps, sometimes it takes 700. Once my core starts burning, I continue for 2-3 minutes. After that, I do 15 situps on the abmat. Yes, only 15. Then I do another round of situps on the stability ball, followed by situps on the abmat.
I polish off my ab workout with 2 sets of the saxon side bend, on each side. Only instead of holding the weights overhead, I hold a kettlebell to my side, place my other hand on my head (with elbow pointing outward) and do 12 reps on each side, twice.
